I get sick and tired of reading the laudatory phrases that seem to be essential in order to sell yourself.  Has no one ever made a mistake?  Not according to their resume.

Well I’ve made plenty of mistakes.  I’ve tried not to make the same ones twice but I’ve been busy.  I’ve done a lot of stuff and you don’t make things happen without screwing up once in a while.

What can I do?  I’m pretty good at getting people to work together and show individual initiative.  I’m handy with numbers—can make a mean spreadsheet or read a balance sheet in a hurry.  I’m also fairly handy with a computer—my stuff isn’t always the fanciest but it is utilitarian and it works.  Check the nutrient calculators on this web site to see some recent examples of my work.

I’m a great facilitator—I get people to participate and share ideas.  I have really good agronomic skills and I’m not afraid to call something BS if that is what it is.  Over the years I’ve seen a lot of stuff sold to farmers and not all of it made them money—I can say that I never sold anything unless I first believed in it myself.

So don’t hire me if you are looking for perfection.  On the other hand if you want someone who in’t afraid to make a decision, someone who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty, someone who can get things done on time and done right, then give me a call.

Rounded Rectangular Callout: I’m great with groups—getting people to work together, make decisions and turn those decisions into action
