As we make the transition from normal life to being homeless & unemployed we have been making some changes in how we communicate. So that people who wish to keep track of us can, we have started a weblog here.

We have purchased a satellite dish that allows us to access the internet wherever we are. The best resource I have found for information about that system and the people who use them regularly is Don Bradner's excellent Datastorm Users Group which is located here. Don also maintains a really neat map system which will display our location based on the coordinates we enter during setup for our satellite dish. Clicking here will show you where we are currently located. If there are multiple users showing on the map we are user number 5632. If we don't show on the map that just means we haven't moved for a couple of weeks. Don's software automatically boots us off the map if we don't move regularly.

A couple of years ago we joined a group called Escapees which was originally conceived as a gathering place for people who live fulltime in RVs but has since grown to include anyone who enjoys the RV lifestyle.

I also hang out in a Bus Conversion group located here. It is a good place to get help with the peculiarities associated with living and travelling in a vehicle that is older than my oldest child and which contains a more complex collection of systems than most houses.
